🚨 STXGMRS: Supporting South Texas During Emergencies 🚨
When severe weather, natural disasters, or other emergency situations impact our communities, reliable communication becomes more important than ever. That’s where STXGMRS can help.
Through our network of GMRS operators across South Texas, STXGMRS has the ability to provide real-time situational awareness, local reports, weather observations, and community-to-community communication when traditional information sources may be delayed, overwhelmed, or unavailable.
Our members are often the eyes and ears on the ground, sharing information about weather conditions, road closures, flooding, power outages, and other developing situations. By working together, we can help keep our communities informed and connected when it matters most.
STXGMRS is always looking for volunteers interested in emergency communications, weather spotting, repeater operations, and supporting the South Texas radio community.
Whether you’re an experienced operator or just getting started with GMRS, your participation can make a difference.
📡 Stay informed. Stay prepared. Stay connected.
